Afterglow Hair Co. is located at 1321 Generals Highway in Crownsville, Maryland.

How do I book an appointment?
Each stylist manages their own schedule and booking. Visit our Stylists page, choose your stylist, and follow their booking link to view services and availability.

Do I need a consultation?
Some services especially extensions, major color changes, and corrective color may require a consultation before booking. Your stylist will let you know what’s needed.

What is your cancellation policy?
We understand life happens! Because your appointment time is reserved specifically for you, we ask for at least 24 hours’ notice when cancelling or rescheduling. Late cancellations and no shows may be subject to a fee determined by your individual stylist.

What if I’m running late?
Please contact your stylist as soon as possible. Depending on how late you arrive, we may need to adjust your service or reschedule to avoid impacting the next guest.

What if I’m not happy with my hair?
We want you to love your hair. If something isn’t feeling quite right, please contact your stylist within 7 days of your appointment so we can talk through it and determine the best solution. Adjustments are handled by the individual stylist and do not cover a change of mind or a request for something different from the original consultation.

What forms of payment do you accept?
All major credit/debit cards, cash, venmo or zelle.

Should I come with clean or dirty hair?
Clean, dry hair is generally best for color services. Heavy product buildup, dry shampoo, root sprays, oils, or other products can affect your service. If your stylist needs something different, they’ll let you know beforehand.

What should I wear?
We provide capes, but hair color and lightener can occasionally find a way onto clothing. We recommend avoiding your favorite high necked shirt, hoodie, or anything you’d be devastated to stain.

Can you guarantee my inspiration photo will look exactly the same on me?
Inspiration photos are encouraged! They help us understand what you love, but every head of hair has a different starting point, history, texture and condition. Your stylist will talk through what’s realistically achievable and whether your goal may take more than one appointment.
